Club Expansion

Boys & Girls Clubs of Kentuckiana is in the process of providing services to the youth who attended the Salvation Army Boys & Girls Clubs (Newburg, Parkland and Portland) before they closed in October 2011. Since October, BGCK has been transporting members of the former Salvation Army Parkland & Portland Boys & Girls Clubs to the Shawnee Boys & Girls Club. In addition, BGCK is moving forward with plans to open a Club on the St. Vincent de Paul campaus in the Louisville Smoketown neighborhood.

The first success in our expansion efforts was the Newburg Club. This Club opened for holiday hours on December 19, 2011 and held its Grand Opening on January 9, 2012.

For our Club expansion efforts we have raised over $526,000. Below is a list of the companies and foundations that contributed over $474,000.
