Ed Endres Club is proud to announce Kadence W. as their member of the month. Kadence, who is playfully referred to as “Bub” by his friends and family, is a 7 year old Club member who attends S. Ellen Jones Elementary in New Albany. Bub who is in first grade comes to the Club everyday with his older sister. Most of his time in the Club is spent in the gym playing sports, playing games in the computer lab and helping Ms. Shenita in the kitchen. Bub is a talented athlete and dancer and can be seen smiling no matter what kind of day he is having. We appreciate Kadence’s positive attitude and influence on our Club members.

"There is little difference in people, but that little difference makes a big difference. The little difference is attitude. The big difference is whether it is positive or negative."

Ed Endres Club members involved in the Torch and Keystone Clubs took their annual King’s Island Trip on August 13. For many members it was the first time they had ever been to an amusement park, or even ridden a roller coaster!  Members who went were treated a full day or rides, games, food and fun in the sun at the water park. Club members are already anticipating next years trip and will be working on some small projects to fund more trips such as this one.

Healthy Habits Begin with Eating Right

After months of hard work planting and watering their Muhammad Ali Peace Garden, members who participate in our Healthy Habits program were able to harvest their fruits and vegetables this month and use them to make yummy foods. Members made pizzas with harvested tomatoes and peppers and even fruit smoothies! Members will begin planting crops for a fall garden in the next two weeks as we prepare for colder weather.
